Not so everyday things.
So enough with the politico ranting.
Although I will mention that bastard Rick Santorum was voted out of office:
On the topic of the Boston Catholic Church scandal:
"It is startling that those in the media and academia appear most disturbed by this aberrant behavior, since they have zealously promoted moral relativism by sanctioning "private" moral matters such as alternative lifestyles. Priests, like all of us, are affected by culture. When the culture is sick, every element in it becomes infected. While it is no excuse for this scandal, it is no surprise that Boston, a seat of academic, political and cultural liberalism in America, lies at the center of the storm."
ok, ok. enough.
Had my midterms, and got back some good results - a first, a fifth and a first. I'm not sure how I celebrated, and I'm pretty sure I didn't, but after the weekend I had a new frying pan and a lint roller. And a bottle of the cheapest "Bordeux" red from the local GIANTMARTS. Remind me to make a movie about that place.
Yesterday and today was 'International day'. All of the international students are asked to set up a stall and make some food from their countries, and perform and the rest. An authentic food court if you will. My supervisor forgot his wallet so I had to pay for him, but it was fairly cheap (we raided about 8 stalls and ate till we were full for about $7). I had to say that Uzbekistan was the best (my roomie is from there and he gave me 50% off, but the food was 'superior' to the rest - as an aside, maple syrup chicken? What the hell were you thinking Canada?) and they won the competition for best food.
The Chinese girls put on a fashion parade and the Germans set up a tent with nothing other than Jagermeister. I'll put up some photos later.
That's it for now.
daisung.
